Find Bradley County Released Inmates

Bradley County released inmates do not remain on a live jail roster just because an old booking can still be found. To search for Bradley County released inmates, first identify the agency that held the person, then match the departure record with the court or corrections record that explains it. Bradley County released inmates may return to the community, begin probation or parole, or move into state, federal, immigration, or another county's custody. A sound search separates release from transfer and treats the county record, Tennessee offender search, court disposition, and supervision status as different pieces of the same event.

Bradley County Release Meanings

Leaving Bradley County Jail is not one fixed outcome. An adult may leave after posting bond, receiving a recognizance order, serving the required time, completing a sentence, obtaining a dismissal, or receiving another court-authorized release. Probation may start at that point. The same departure gate can also be used for a transfer to the Tennessee Department of Correction, another county, a federal custodian, or immigration custody. The jail record must distinguish those paths.

The county's booking material describes intake, charges, arresting agency, and bond terms. It is not a verified discharge list. A booking number is the best link between a historical JailTracker report, the sheriff's release or transfer transaction, and the criminal case. The most reliable check compares whether the jail still houses the person, what departure the jail recorded, and what order or judgment the court entered.

DepartureWhat it meansNext record
Bond or recognizanceThe court permitted community release and required terms were met.Jail departure plus bond order
Time served or completionThe local custody term ended.Release transaction plus judgment
Probation or paroleThe person is in the community under supervision.Judgment, FOIL status, and supervision office

Bradley County Release Record Fields

The sheriff's public page does not promise a standard release-record layout. A precise request should ask for existing fields instead of assuming each one will be available. Request the booking or admission date, actual departure date and time, release disposition or reason, and transfer destination when it was recorded and remains public. Supply a full name, known date of birth, booking number, and narrow date range so the custodian can locate the right transaction.

Requested fieldWhat it can establish
Booking numberConnects the intake, departure, photo, and court inquiry.
Actual release date and timeShows when jail staff completed departure processing.
Release dispositionMay distinguish bond, time served, dismissal, completion, or another basis.
Transfer destinationShows that custody continued with another agency when public.
Releasing facilityIdentifies which custodian created the release record.

A bond amount in an old report does not prove payment. “No Bond,” “Serving,” and “See Primary Charge” are booking labels, not release outcomes. Likewise, a court order authorizing release can precede physical departure. The jail transaction records that later step.

Request Bradley County Release Records

The Bradley County Sheriff records page and its electronic request form are the local routes for jail booking, release, transfer, and booking-photo records. The reviewed instructions do not publish a copy-fee schedule, retention promise, or guaranteed response time. Ask for a cost estimate before chargeable copies. Questions may go to publicinformationofficer@bradleycountytn.gov.

  1. Identify the person with a full name, known birth date, booking number, and tight date range.
  2. Ask for the existing booking or admission entry and the actual release or transfer transaction.
  3. Specify the departure date, time, disposition, and destination fields sought. Request a booking photo separately if needed.
  4. Choose electronic copies when suitable, request an estimate, and ask for the legal basis for any denial or redaction.

A disappearance from JailTracker is not a release record. It may reflect transfer, retention limits, or a change in the live interface.

The Tennessee Public Records Act, beginning at TCA § 10-7-503, broadly covers government records while preserving other legal exceptions. Tennessee access is generally framed for state citizens. An agency may charge for copies and labor under its policy, but it need not build a custom list that does not exist. Juvenile, sealed, expunged, protected, and other confidential material may be withheld or redacted.

Bradley Release and Court Records

The jail and adult criminal clerk occupy neighboring sites on Blythe Avenue. Bradley County Jail is at 2290 Blythe Avenue, while General Sessions Criminal and Circuit Criminal records are maintained at the Judicial Complex at 2230 Blythe Avenue. That physical closeness mirrors the best evidence chain. Jail staff confirm housing and physical departure. The clerk supplies the bond order, dismissal, time-served judgment, sentence, probation disposition, or other legal event.

Bradley County's clerk page lists General Sessions Criminal at 423-728-7050 and Circuit Criminal at 423-728-7057. General Sessions is the first stop for misdemeanor dispositions and early felony proceedings. Circuit Criminal maintains felony trial-level records. Provide the case or booking number and request the docket plus the order tied to the custody change.

The official Bradley County clerk view below shows why the court channel matters after a person drops off a custody screen.

Those separate criminal contacts help locate the controlling court record without treating a statewide courthouse directory as a trial-court case database.

Find a Bradley County Release

Start with the last known custodian. A county pretrial case, a Tennessee felony sentence, a federal matter, and immigration detention use different systems. Search results become reliable only when the identity details and reporting agency match.

  1. Use the official Booking Reports gate to capture a booking number, date, charge, and arresting agency. Treat it as intake evidence.
  2. Call Bradley County Jail at 423-728-7367. If the person is not housed, ask whether the departure was community release or transfer.
  3. Request the durable departure record from the sheriff, then obtain the court order or judgment that explains the legal basis.
  4. Search TDOC FOIL when a felony sentence or state transfer is possible. Read incarcerated, parole, probation, or inactive status literally.
  5. Use Tennessee VINELink for a current agency-reported status and to register for available phone, email, text, TTY, or mobile notices. Match the reporting agency and offender number, keep any telephone-alert PIN, and verify each alert with the jail, TDOC, or court. Statewide operator help is available at 888-868-4631.
  6. Choose BOP, USMS, or ICE sources only when the person entered that federal system.

The county does not publish a clearly labeled rolling release feed. Its code-gated JailTracker view and historical “News Release By Date” reports concern bookings, not confirmed releases. The Jail Releases: 24 Hours route therefore leads with the phone and written-record fallback instead of presenting old bookings as people who just left.

The Tennessee Sex Offender Registry is an additional channel only when a conviction requires registration. Its name, alias, location, offender-ID, status, and offense fields can document public registration after custody, but it is not a general release database. It can also include incarcerated people, so the status and “Include Prisons/Incarcerated” setting must be read before drawing any release conclusion.

Bradley Released Inmates in FOIL

The Tennessee Department of Correction's Felony Offender Information Lookup overview says FOIL covers current and former felony offenders in TDOC custody or supervision. Search by name, TDOC or TOMIS identification number, or State ID. A numeric identifier is the strongest way to separate same-name records. Compare the date of birth, photo, offense, and conviction facts before relying on a match.

FOIL itemHow to read it
NameBroad search route; verify identity details.
TDOC/TOMIS IDState correction identifier and best disambiguator.
StatusIncarcerated, probation, parole, or inactive.
LocationA named prison points to continued custody.
Sentence and release informationRead each date by its exact label; eligibility is not actual release.

FOIL does not cover every county misdemeanor or brief pretrial stay. No hit is therefore inconclusive. A parole or probation status means community supervision continues. Inactive can support that the TDOC record is no longer active, but it should be paired with the listed release information and an official release record when exact proof is needed.

Bradley Jail Transfers Versus Releases

Tennessee's April 2025 jail summary reported 373 people at Bradley against 350 beds and identified 72 TDOC-backup inmates. This was a point-in-time population snapshot, not an annual release count. It matters because a state-sentenced person can remain in the county jail while awaiting TDOC movement. A later disappearance from the local platform may mark that state transfer rather than a return to the community.

When a felony sentence appears in the court record, check FOIL even if the person was last seen in Bradley County Jail. TDOC calculates qualifying felony sentence expiration and earliest release dates under state law. The county booking screen cannot substitute for that state timekeeping record.

Bradley Release Supervision Paths

Bradley County has separate supervision routes. County Misdemeanor Probation at 2252 Blythe Avenue handles applicable local judgments. TDOC's District 30 Bradley/Polk office at 4605 North Lee Highway handles applicable felony probation and parole. The judgment, offense level, and FOIL status decide which office applies, not the jail door used at departure.

Parole
Conditional community release before sentence expiration after the state decision and release process.
Probation
Court-ordered community supervision, sometimes following a period of confinement.
Discharge
The end of the applicable custody or supervision obligation, as shown by the responsible agency's record.
Detainer
A request or hold that may send a person to another custodian instead of the community.

A Board grant is not the same as departure. TDOC states that an approved release plan and remaining steps must be complete before parole release. Detailed office, hearing, and status checks appear naturally on the Bradley County Probation & Parole page.

Correct a Bradley Release Record

Tennessee lists identity-service points at the Cleveland Driver Service Center and Bradley County Clerk, but those offices are not the route for correcting jail release data. A disputed custody field should go to the sheriff's Public Information Officer through the records form. Supply the booking number, identify the exact field, explain the claimed error, and attach an official court order or other source that supports the correction request.

Keep identity documents and custody records separate. A driver's credential can help prove who is making a request, while the sheriff remains custodian of its release transaction. If the dispute concerns a felony status or state calculation, use TDOC's records channel instead. If it concerns a dismissal or judgment, ask the criminal clerk for the certified court entry.

Bradley Release Records and Expungement

Tennessee's no-fee expungement categories include arrest and release without charge, dismissal, no true bill, not guilty, and nolle prosequi. The process begins in the court where the case originated. A Bradley request may therefore belong in General Sessions or Circuit Criminal, and a statewide courthouse locator cannot decide that question by itself.

The Tennessee filing instructions direct a filer to obtain case details from the clerk and use separate paperwork where required. A certified expungement order is the strongest official evidence of the later record action. It does not establish the minute a person left jail, and it does not guarantee that each old news copy or cache disappears at once. Sealed, expunged, and juvenile records may lawfully limit what a public requester can obtain.

Getting Home After Bradley Release

Cleveland's official ADA transit plan identifies the CUATS Blue Line as serving Bradley County Jail and Criminal Court. That planning document supplies a documented public-transit connection in the jail and court area, but it is not a live service alert. Anyone arranging transportation after a release should confirm the current route, schedule, and stop before relying on it.

Release timing can change while bond, court, identification, property, medical, or transfer steps are completed. The jail record remains the source for actual departure. A transit plan can help with the trip afterward, but it cannot predict when processing will finish or whether the person will leave for the community.

Bradley Release and Veterans Court

The 10th Judicial District Veterans Treatment Court serves Bradley, McMinn, Polk, and Monroe counties and has a Bradley County Government contact in Cleveland. When participation applies, that specialty-court contact can help identify the judicial supervision track. Participation itself does not prove that a person left Bradley County Jail.

Use the same evidence order as any other case. The court record explains the judicial decision and conditions. The jail transaction confirms physical release or transfer. A probation office confirms the proper supervision route after community placement. Keeping those roles distinct prevents a program referral or calendar event from being mistaken for a completed release.

Federal Bradley Release Lookups

A sentenced federal prisoner belongs in the BOP Inmate Locator. It covers modern federal records from 1982 forward and displays a release date and location. A past date with no facility, “Released,” or “Not in BOP Custody” means the person is no longer in BOP custody. It does not rule out another jurisdiction's custody or federal supervised release.

The official BOP locator explanation shown below defines those labels and warns that future dates can change.

Federal BOP released inmate status for Bradley County research

The label should always be stated as release from BOP custody, not as proof that every legal restraint ended.

A federal pretrial defendant may be held for the U.S. Marshals Service and never receive a sentenced BOP record. Use the federal court docket and a focused USMS records request where appropriate. For immigration custody, ICE ODLS covers current detainees and people released from ICE custody within the last 60 days. After that short window, absence proves no specific date or outcome. DHS-VINE is separate from Tennessee VINE and handles eligible immigration custody notifications.

Bradley Release Status by System

Use the system tied to the custody episode. A live roster answers who is housed now. A release record answers how and when that custody episode ended. A court or supervision record answers what legal status followed.

QuestionCorrect sourceKey limit
Still in Bradley County Jail?JailTracker gate and jail phoneAbsence does not prove release.
Released or transferred from the jail?Sheriff departure recordAsk for actual time, disposition, and destination.
In TDOC custody or supervision?FOILNo result can be normal for a county-only case.

A result should name both the agency left and the status that followed. “Released from Bradley County Jail,” “transferred to TDOC,” and “released from BOP custody” are not interchangeable findings.

Bradley County Release Facilities

Bradley County Jail is the adult county facility. A person may return to the community or transfer to TDOC, another jail, federal custody, ICE, or another agency. Confirm the outcome through the jail, departure record, and controlling court.

Bradley County Juvenile Detention Center is a separate 27-bed Juvenile Court operation that can serve youth tied to several counties. A youth may leave through release to an authorized custodian, placement, or transfer. Adult JailTracker is not the proper public search path, and juvenile confidentiality governs access.
