A release record supplies the physical departure. The court record supplies legal cause. When the two conflict, check for data lag, a later hold, or another agency’s custody before drawing a conclusion.
Confirm Bradley County Jail Releases

A bond amount shows a booking condition, not proof that bond was posted.

The sheriff does not publish a release door, routine discharge time, family waiting area, weekend schedule, rideshare pickup rule, property-return process, or gate-money policy. Bradley County Jail Court Records
The jail sits near Bradley County’s adult criminal courts, and the records have linked but distinct roles. Jail staff can confirm physical custody or departure. General Sessions Criminal Court and Circuit Criminal Court maintain the orders and judgments that explain bond, dismissal, sentence, time served, probation, revocation, or another disposition.
General Sessions Criminal Court handles misdemeanors and early felony proceedings. Its phone is 423-728-7050. Circuit Criminal Court maintains felony trial-level records and can be reached at 423-728-7057. Both operate from the Bradley County Judicial Complex at 2230 Blythe Avenue. Give the clerk the full name, approximate case date, and docket or booking number when known.
Read the terms narrowly. “Bond set” means release was legally available on stated terms, not that bond was posted. “Dismissed” can end custody on one charge while another hold remains. “Time served” describes the judgment or credit, while the jail record marks the actual processing time. A probation order may place someone in the community unless split confinement or another term applies.

Bradley County Jail TDOC Transfers
State transfer is a material local possibility. Tennessee’s April 2025 jail report counted 373 people against 350 beds and identified 72 as TDOC backup, or 19.3 percent of that point-in-time population. Those figures are not a release rate and should not be read as a current count. They show why someone can remain at the county jail while awaiting state movement, then disappear from the local interface without entering the community.
When a felony sentence or TDOC transfer is possible, search TDOC FOIL. It covers people currently or formerly in TDOC custody or supervision and may display status, location, offense, sentence, parole, release information, and a photograph. An incarcerated label or named prison means custody continues. Parole or probation means community placement under supervision. Inactive requires the detail record and applicable release information for context.
No FOIL result is inconclusive for a county misdemeanor, pretrial detention, or person who never entered the TDOC felony system. Use the jail and court route for those cases. Where state data is unclear, request the existing TDOC release transaction or sentence record from the state custodian.
Bradley County Juvenile Release Divide
Bradley County also operates a separate juvenile detention center through Juvenile Court. Tennessee materials identify 27 beds, and county resolutions authorize detention service for several other counties. A youth leaving that facility may return to an authorized custodian, enter placement, transfer, or return to another county’s juvenile process. Adult JailTracker is not the proper public route.
The distinction matters when a name cannot be found in the adult booking reports. Do not infer that a youth was never held or has been released. Juvenile records carry different confidentiality rules, and access can be limited to authorized people and lawful channels. The adult jail’s booking number, sheriff release record, and adult criminal docket workflow should stay with adult custody. A juvenile matter follows the Juvenile Court or DCS process tied to the youth and placing county. Keeping these paths apart protects the accuracy of both records.
